Web Offset
Our web offset department has two Heidelberg Harris 16 page heat-set presses. These can print on coated and un-coated stock and deliver folder tabloid, A4 and A5 signatures for binding with other signatures and covers. These are suited for medium to longer runs. Full colour tabloids, magazines and brochures are the order of the day here. These presses have a 630mm cut off and can take reels from 780mm to 940mm in width.
The Heidelberg Harris has an auto-register facility and the ink is pumped automatically to the machine thus ensuring quick make-ready times.
All plates for the web offset department are generated in our computer to plate section to give "first generation" proofing and print quality.
Sheet Fed
Our sheet fed department has a new 6-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 102 Perfector. This B1 sized press prints high quality items such as covers, brochures, short to medium magazine runs and general print work.
Flat sheets are printed here and these are subsequently sent to our bindery area for folding into sections for binding.
This press is capable of printing 6 colours on one side of the sheet. The machine can also perfect, thus printing 2 colours on one side of the sheet then 4 colours on the other side, all in one pass.
This machine also has automatic plate change facility and automatic blanket wash which reduces make-ready time down to a bare minimum.
